HARTFORD – Connecticut will assume an undetermined risk by becoming a self-insurer for healthcare insurance covering thousands of state workers, plus an unknown number of municipal workers, and non-profits, State Rep. John Hetherington said today, and taxpayers will have to pay at least an additional $70 million a year.
While supporting HB-6467, a bill advancing smart growth principles for improved long-term planning and development, State Representative John W. Hetherington (R-125) has voiced strong concern about HB-6496, which mandates that schools use only cleaning products identified as green.
HARTFORD – State Representative John Hetherington (R-125) today welcomed the passage by the state House of Representatives of SB- 1021, An Act Concerning Notification of Contaminants in Drinking. The measure would require the Commissioner of the Department of Public Health to notify local municipal leaders when contaminated drinking water is discovered within their municipality.
